We have recently fitted a garage makeover in Wargrave and the double door was used more than normal. Because it is an old door one of the hinges broke and the owners were distraught to find out the suppliers had gone out of business. A call to our HQ got the team searching for a supplier of extinct spare parts and Google led us to a company amazingly only about 4 miles away.

Within 3 hours of the 2st call a replacement hinge was installed, the door was back working and the customers were delighted.

GarageTek are delighted to announce that they are shortly to open as a trial in the large Homebase store in Maidenhead. They will take a fully manned demonstration area where they will build a mock gaarge wall to show as much as possible from their product range to give potential customers an idea of how their garage could look when fitted out.

Product will be available on a DIY or "design and install" option. This is a major move forward for the Garage makeover specialists and one that will give a major presence to the company in th town.

The opening date is to be announced shortly but likely to be August 18th

We at GarageTek are delighted to announce the appointment of a National Sales Manager. Mattlock Bennett-Jones has joined and has the brief to build a nationla network of agents selling our product and services.

He will be based at our Head Office near Marlow and will start expanding through Hertfordshire and into North London and East Anglia. At the same time he will introduce the products into related industries who have custmers interested in having their garages organised.

We have been striving to make sure our customer service is as high as possible, and hopefully to exceed customer expectations. We are now looking at launching a anage of services from Platinum through Gold to Silver. This has come about because of the new products we can offer. We have always said a standard double garage will cost around £7,500 to fit out with all three walls covered, a tiled floor and a good range of units.

But since offerering a resin floor option, a range of ceiling options and a new range of metal cabinets and cupboards this has often increased the cost to £10,000 to £11,000 - and customers love it. So the top range will include all these as standard.

And the original offer is still there for those that are keen on the GarageTek system.

We have been using two types of garage storage cabinets for the past 4 years: A strong and very practical plastic cabinet and heavy duty steel cabinets. The former are very popular and offer a good choice of sizes that fit most garages.

And the metal range that look much more impressive, are stronger but more expensive. But the problem hs been that they are imported from Canada via the US and virtually every cabinet has been damaged in transit.

So we have been looking for a replacement and may have found the perfect combination: a strong metal garage cabinet in 2 sizes, a matching workbench and two mobile storage units comprising draws and cabinets that fit under the bench. It all looks good, is well priced and delivery is no problem. We'll be loading some images in the next day or two.

We are also looking at adding a selection of garage doors to our range so that we get nearer offering the "complete garage solution"

Monday was an exciting day at GarageTek when they took delivery of their new branded Smart car which looks like a Garage makeover on wheels! Talk about being eye catching - it has already attracted interest and will be used exclusively for driving to free appraisals throughout the Home Counties.

Oli has reached Belgrade on his marathon cycle ride. As readers may recall he is cycling from Lords cricket ground in London to the Gabba cricket ground in Brisbane, Australia - about 25,000 kms. - and plans to arrive on November 24th 2010 which is the day befoe the next Ashes series starts.
